Meet Daisy Wen
Daisy Wen, senior analyst for reporting and analytics for the Finance and Administration team, is a problem-solver at heart. Whether she’s building Power BI visuals or diving into new topics (earning her the nickname “Daisy GPT”), she’s always eager to learn. A proud aunt, puzzle enthusiast, and data storyteller, she brings curiosity and insight into everything she does.
What is your favorite thing about your current role?
I love solving puzzles, and my role gives me the perfect opportunity to do that. I started at CUIMC in January 2018 as a reporting coordinator, and after a few years, I was promoted to a senior analyst. Every time I build Power BI visuals using data from our various systems, it’s like piecing together a new challenge—figuring out how to make data tell a clear, compelling story is really cool.
What makes you smile?
My niece (2 years old) and nephew (5 years old). They’re my free serotonin boost!
What advice would you give to your younger self?
Don’t let low self-esteem hold you back. You think life is really hard until you look back and think about how much you enjoy those memories.
What superpower would you choose for yourself?
The ability to change things on a molecular level.
How would you describe yourself in one word? Why?
Inquisitive. My friends call me "Daisy GPT" because I’m obsessed with understanding how things work. I know a little about a lot of things and love reading articles, especially when the articles represent a wide range of nonfiction.
