Black Bldg: 3rd Floor Fume Hood Exhaust Fans Temporarily Unavailable, Aug. 12
Fume hood exhaust fans will be temporarily unavailable on the 3rd floor of the William Black Building from 8 a.m. to approximately 4 p.m. on Wednesday, August 12, due to urgent repairs. As a result, all laboratory personnel in the William Black Building should conclude all work in the fume hoods by 11 p.m. on Tuesday, August 11.
During this time, laboratory users are instructed to avoid using fume hoods and tightly seal all containers within the fume hood or remove and safely store containers elsewhere in the lab. Once service has been restored, Environmental Health and Safety (EH&S) will be on site beginning on Thursday, August 13 at 9 a.m. to spot check fume hood exhaust flow.
We apologize for the inconvenience and appreciate your cooperation as we work to improve our facilities. For questions or concerns, contact Frank Menard, project manager, at 929-248-1971.
