Black Bldg. Advisory: Urgent Steam Shutdown, October 3, 4-9 p.m.

Due to urgent repairs, steam, and steam-related systems will be temporarily unavailable throughout the William Black Building from 4 p.m. to approximately 9 p.m. today, October 3.

• During this time, hot water, sterilization, autoclaves, steam tables, and dishwashers will not be available throughout the building.
• Eyewash devices and overhead emergency shower units will be functional but will be supplied with cold water only. Accordingly, please consider limiting research operations with significant potential for splash or face and bodily exposure during the shutdown.
