Campus Lighting Retrofit and Upgrades: Aug. 2024 - Feb. 2025

As part of Sustainable Columbia’s Plan 2030 and NYC’s Local Law 88, existing fluorescent light fixtures in various on-campus buildings will be upgraded and replaced with LED light fixtures beginning on Monday, August 26; this work will continue through approximately late winter 2025. 

What you can expect during this time:

• Work will occur in the stairwells and throughout the buildings.
• Work is scheduled for Monday through Friday between 7 a.m. and 3 p.m. (excluding University Holidays).
• Lighting replacement schedules will be shared with each floor’s occupants before work starts.
