Facilities Faves: Summer Fun

We asked some of Facilities' finest about their favorite summer activities. Here's what they had to say.

"Every summer my family heads up to Lake George New York for a week. We stay in a local hotel  lakeside and enjoy swimming, boating, fishing and fun in the sun. The tradition started when my parents took me and my brother there as kids, then throughout the years  my wife and I brought our kids and now we are at the point where we bring our grandkids there as well. A tradition for the last 40 years."

"We want to try white water rafting 😊 in Delaware or the Poconos. We love taking the kids to Lancaster, PA to the farms and summer fun. Our favorite summer recipe is Trio Pasta Salad."

"As for a place to visit and since it is PRIDE MONTH, how about Provincetown? I love the Cape this time of year."

"We love brunch punch. Mix two liters Sprite or similar, two cups each of orange juice, pineapple juice, and vodka with a bottle of prosecco in a big punch bowl. Add two cups each of raspberries and sliced strawberries, and one cup of fresh mint leaves and mix it up well. Rim some punch glasses with sanding sugars and pour in the punch. Enjoy!"

"My oldest son turned in May and we went shark cage diving this past Saturday at the Long Island Aquarium in Riverhead."

"I love the 'piraguas', the shaved ice that they sell from the carts. So many good flavors and it reminds me of childhood. I also really enjoy riding the MTA during the summer because it’s so empty. I'll go to any and all farmer's markets that I can find, including the Fort Washington Green Market that comes here on Tuesdays. NYC summer fashion is elite and people watching is also very fun during the warmer months. Try Salsa Sundays at Orchard Beach and anything from City Island."
