Georgian Building Hot Water and Heating Disruption, Nov. 6

Heat and hot water service will be temporarily unavailable throughout the Georgian Building from 10 a.m. to approximately 6 p.m. this Wednesday, November 6, due to maintenance work on the building’s boiler.

Highlights of what to expect:

• Cold water will remain operational throughout the building, except between noon and 2 p.m., while the boiler system is being flushed. From noon to 2 p.m., please use restrooms in the nearby Vanderbilt Clinic or Vagelos College of Physicians and Surgeons Building.
• Once cold water service returns, please run your faucets for a few minutes to allow the water to move through the building. 
• Additionally, current weather forecasts predict warmer-than-normal outside temperatures, which should help stabilize indoor temperatures while we conduct the maintenance work.
