Hammer Bldg. Steam Shutdown, Jan. 27

Steam systems are currently unavailable throughout Hammer Health Sciences Center and will remain unavailable approximately 3 p.m. on January 27, due to emergency repairs.

• While we conduct the repairs, there will be no hot water, heating, sterilization, autoclaves, steam tables, or dishwashers available throughout the building. 
• Occupants also may notice slightly cooler building temperatures.

Eyewash devices and overhead emergency shower units will be functional, but will be supplied with cold water only. Accordingly, please consider limiting research operations that have significant potential for splash or face and bodily exposure during the shutdown. Additionally, building occupants may notice slightly cooler temperatures while the work is being completed.
