September is National Preparedness Month
Be Ready, Stay Safe! Are you and your team prepared for an emergency?
Key Steps to Preparedness:
1. Make a Plan
- Discuss how to prepare and respond to emergencies.
- Identify responsibilities for yourself and others.
- Plan for different types of emergencies (e.g., natural disasters, power outages).
2. Build a Kit
- Assemble emergency supplies: water, non-perishable food, flashlight, batteries, first aid kit, medications, and important documents.
- Customize your kit for your needs.
3. Be Informed
- Sign up for emergency alerts and stay updated with local news and weather.
- Know CUIMC evacuation routes.
- Share preparedness information with friends and colleagues.
