September 9: Security Awareness Day

Columbia University Public Safety is hosting Security Awareness Day on September 9, with services offered in front of 650 W. 168 St. from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. including:
- Shred Fest & Electronics Destruction!
- Document shredding and electronics destruction (until 2 p.m.)
- Bring everything from home and the office! It’s a great way to stop identity theft.
- Have an old laptop or hard drive that needs to be destroyed? Bring that, too!
- Need help bringing your things down to the truck? Call Facilities at 305-HELP, Option 3, to arrange for a pick up. Don't wait for Friday, call today.
- Free bicycle registration and free tuneup
- Protect yourself against loss, theft, and cycling accidents.
- Electronics registration and “tattooing”
- FDNY demonstrations of fire and life safety techniques
- Counsel with police and public safety professionals on personal safety and apartment security
