VP&S Bldg. and Vanderbilt Clinic Steam Shutdown, Sept. 8-9

Due to emergency work being performed by NewYork-Presbyterian Facilities Operations, steam systems will be temporarily unavailable from 8 p.m. on Friday, September 8, to approximately 8 a.m. on Saturday, September 9, in the Vagelos College of Physicians and Surgeons Building and Vanderbilt Clinic.

While NYP completes its repairs, the following services will be unavailable throughout both buildings:

  • Domestic hot water
  • Sterilization
  • Autoclaves
  • Steam tables

Occupants in both buildings may notice slightly cooler temperatures. Additionally, eyewash devices and overhead emergency shower units will be functional but will be supplied with cold water only. Please consider limiting research operations that have significant potential for splash or face and bodily exposure during the shutdown.
