Meet Yanilin Paez
Yanilin Paez is a senior heavy cleaner in Campus Operations who enjoys writing, baking, photography, and tennis. She describes herself as loyal, finds joy in being with loved ones, and values Hispanic Heritage Month as a source of pride in her culture.
What is your favorite thing about your current role?
I love using the machines, floor cleaners, and other equipment.
How long have you been at CUIMC?
I started as a cleaner three years ago and am now a senior heavy cleaner. Luz [Checo] and I started in Facilities together on the same day. Before this, I worked as a cashier at Hilltop Cafe for three years.
Who are your role models?
My dad and mom.
Do you have any hidden talents?
I play tennis; I enjoy the sport very much. Growing up, I wanted to be a tennis player.
I enjoy photography, especially taking portraits. I like to write; I’m very expressive. I also bake!
What advice would you give to your younger self?
Fight for your dreams, and do not give up.
What superpower would you choose for yourself?
I'd want to freeze time, especially time with my parents.
How would you describe yourself in one word and why?
Loyal. The people I care about mean a lot to me.
