Recognized for his strategic vision and exceptional relationship-building skills, Eric Lorenzen brings over 20 years of extensive technical expertise in facilities management and plant operations.

As the associate vice president of Facilities Engineering at Columbia University Irving Medical Center, Eric oversees HVAC operations, utilities management, project commissioning, and preventive maintenance. He also manages campus infrastructure improvements, including energy procurement and vertical transportation. By fostering an environment of transparency and trust, Eric effectively resolves escalated issues, enhances relationships at all levels, and ensures continuous improvements in performance, sustainability, and service delivery.

Throughout his career, Eric has initiated transformational programs that have resulted in cost reductions, increased efficiencies, and compliance with regulations at prominent institutions, including Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center. As a Certified Healthcare Facilities Manager and Certified Energy Manager, Eric applies his strategic vision to every role while encouraging multidisciplinary collaboration, cross-training, and innovative problem-solving.

Eric earned a BS in facilities management from SUNY Maritime College and an MBA from Capella University.
