Your Resident Assistant

Our Resident Assistants (RA) support on-campus housing residents with many aspects of living in University housing, including designing a foundation on which a residential community can exist that fosters open communication and neighborly respect.

  • They act as an extension of the Office of Housing Services in providing management support to Georgian, 50 Haven Ave., 154 Haven, 390 Fort Washington, and Towers 1, 2 & 3 buildings; they also provide support—including emergency key assistance—to residents during non-business hours and weekends.
  • They provide peer assistance and serve as a resource who can give information and provide support and refer, when necessary, to appropriate campus resources, while planning programs and events for the on-campus residents.
  • When necessary, they also are available to assist with interpersonal issues with roommates.

In addition, Resident Assistants support the Office of Housing Services with large-scale processes (i.e. move-in, move-out, housing selection, etc.) and can be called to assist with administrative processes in the office during busy times.

To reach the RA on duty, call Public Safety at (212) 305-8100. In an emergency, dial 911.
